About Glebe Mines Limited:

Daniel Butters and Bill Dawson were appointed Joint Administrators of the Companies on 17 May 2012. The Administration orders were made pursuant to a creditor’s petition to court.

Glebe operates both surface & underground mines in the Peak District, Derbyshire. Glebe’s property includes a processing plant and various titles over c.900 acres of predominantly agricultural land. It operates under planning consents provided by the Peak District National Park Authority.

Glebe’s operations were closed by its previous owner in Dec-10 before Glebe was then purchased by Cavendish in Sep-11 using monies obtained by Fluorspar UK from a third party in respect of a bulk mineral order to be fulfilled by Glebe.

Due to non-performance of certain contractual obligations by the Companies, Glebe’s previous owner filed a creditor’s petition for the Companies to be placed into Administration.
