About the Companies

John Charles Reid and Brian William Milne were appointed Joint Administrators of Geddes Window Systems Limited (“Geddes”), Brownhill Precast Concrete Co Limited (“Brownhill”) and D M Geddes & Sons Limited (“D M Geddes”) on 18 March 2011 by the sole director of the Companies. Geddes is the only company which trades, the other two companies have previously ceased to trade.

Geddes was incorporated in 1997 and has been in existence since pre 1900, employing 18 staff at the manufacturing plant in Halkirk, Caithness.  Geddes develops and manufactures premium timber and aluminum window and door frames, specifically designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, for a range of local authorities and private developers across the UK. Turnover for Geddes in 2010 was circa £2.4m.

The Joint Administrators’ strategy is to complete the existing work in progress whilst a buyer is sought for the business and assets of Geddes.

Should you be a party who may be interested in acquiring the business and assets, or have any other queries, please contact Michael Ferguson on 0141 314 5819, or Jacqueline Bell on 0141 304 5690.
