John Reid and Brian Milne were appointed Joint Administrators of Geddes Window Systems Limited, Brownhill Pre-cast Concrete Company Limited and DM Geddes & Sons Limited on 18 March 2011. Brian Milne was replaced as Joint Administrator by Dominic Wong, a partner of Deloitte LLP. Both the resignation of Brian Milne and the appointment of Dominic Wong are effective from 21 February 2012. The affairs, business and property of the Companies are managed by the Joint Administrators. The Joint Administrators act as agents of the Companies and contract without personal liability.

John Charles Reid and Brian William Milne were appointed Joint Administrators of Geddes Window Systems Limited (“Geddes”), Brownhill Precast Concrete Co Limited (“Brownhill”) and D M Geddes & Sons Limited (“D M Geddes”) on 18 March 2011 by the sole director of the Companies. Geddes is the only company which trades, the other two companies have previously ceased to trade.
Geddes was incorporated in 1997 and has been in existence since pre 1900, employing 18 staff at the manufacturing plant in Halkirk, Caithness. Geddes develops and manufactures premium timber and aluminum window and door frames, specifically designed to withstand extreme weather conditions, for a range of local authorities and private developers across the UK. Turnover for Geddes in 2010 was circa £2.4m.
The Joint Administrators’ strategy is to complete the existing work in progress whilst a buyer is sought for the business and assets of Geddes.
