Who we are
The Corporate Finance Insurance Team works on strategic issues for stakeholders in the insurance industry. These typically include insurers, re-insurers, corporate insurance buyers, insurance brokers and other distributors and investors in the insurance market.
What we do
Our team has first hand experience of working in the insurance industry as underwriters, brokers, insurance managers, analysts or in finance roles. Our industry professionals bring their in-depth knowledge of industry experience to bear in all our project work.
How we can help
We can provide assistance with:
- Corporate and Captive Insurance - We advise on corporate insurance issues and the operation and establishment of captive insurance companies. We regularly conduct insurance due diligence on corporate transactions and also advise on broker and captive manager selection.
- Strategy and Advisory - We provide strategic advice focused on the state of the market, distribution capabilities, market entry, business mergers and market exits. The team has been involved in a range of strategic projects for insurers, re-insurers, brokers, financiers and regulators.
- Run-off and Finality - We conduct administrations and liquidations in the insurance sector for insolvent insurance companies, and also undertake schemes of arrangement and part VII transfers as part of restructuring transactions. In addition, we advise major insurance concerns on the restructuring of their balance sheets. We also lead the firm’s due diligence services to corporate entities and private equity houses on the purchase and sale of run-off portfolios, for both life and non-life companies.
