Deloitte strengthens corporate finance team
16 October 2012
Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has strengthened its corporate finance advisory team with two senior appointments.
Anurag Verma has joined the advisory team as a financial services partner. He joins from PwC Corporate Finance, where he spent over 16 years advising corporate and private equity clients on M&A transactions internationally, most recently as a senior member of its Financial Institutions Group. He will strengthen the team’s experience in the banking, capital markets and specialty finance sectors.
Duncan Chandler joins the team from Rothschild as a director, where he worked for seven years and covered financial institutions throughout the UK and Europe. Before Rothschild, Duncan was at Abbey National, working within group corporate development. Duncan’s appointment will strengthen the team’s banking sector experience and capabilities, and will focus on helping clients achieve successful M&A activity in this sector.
Cahal Dowds, corporate finance partner at Deloitte, said:
“I am delighted Anurag and Duncan have joined Deloitte. Their appointment reflects Deloitte’s investment and commitment to building a market-leading advisory service for our financial services clients, and strengthens an impressive team that is well placed to help clients meet and overcome the challenges ahead.”
