Partner - Corporate Finance Advisory
Stuart Geddie is a Partner in our Corporate Finance practice and is a senior member of the specialist Valuation team. Stuart has over 11 years of business valuation experience having previously provided broader financial advisory consulting.
Stuart has applied his knowledge across a wide variety of areas ranging from valuations advisory through to more contentious valuations and has operated across a broad range of sectors. He has worked on numerous advisory engagements including valuations required for lending banks in situations of reorganisation and merger and acquisition activity as well as having been responsible for both the preparation of expert reports in cases of arbitration and expert determination.
Recent experiences include:
- Reorganisation: Stuart has provided advice on numerous reorganisation projects to lending banks assessing their options. His work has also covered client-side advice such as valuations advice related to a business planning and deleveraging as well as independent advice related to reorganisations such as work undertaken on behalf of the Security Agent and Administrators of businesses in restructuring. This work has been across a broad range of industries and geographies.
- Financial advisory: Stuart has provided independent advice to both buyers and sellers of businesses on the quantum of offers made or received in sectors including financial services, consumer business and healthcare.
- Fiscal valuations: Stuart has worked on numerous valuation assignments dealing with the tax consequences of transactions with HMRC and tax authorities in other jurisdictions.
- Contentious: Stuart has worked as a valuation expert in various cases including those related to mobile telephony, financial services and consumer business.
