Kevin Magner

Kevin is a director in the Corporate Finance division of Deloitte. He specialises in finance raising for energy, infrastructure and PF2/PPP projects.

Kevin is advising Ofgem on Tender Round 3 of offshore transmission licence owner tenders involving the Westermost Rough and Humber Gateway offshore windfarms’ transmission links.  He advised EirGrid plc on financing of the €600 million Ireland-UK electricity interconnector.  Kevin has also advised private sector and public sector clients on new power generation projects involving a variety of traditional and low carbon generation technologies.

Kevin advised on financing aspects of the Birmingham Highways Maintenance and Management PFI, the proposed €3 billion Antwerp Masterplan transport projects based on the Oosterweel Link, the Royal Liverpool Hospital PFI project, Project MoDEL for the Ministry of Defence and a bid for the Future Strategic Tanker Aircraft PFI project.   He advised Eurostar International on the financing of its new fleet of high speed trains for its flagship London-Paris route. He has previously advised Docklands Light Railway on its Woolwich Arsenal Extension and Transport for London on the London Underground Infraco PPP value for money assessment.  He has advised Ofwat on refinancings of three of the largest UK water companies, and Ofgem on acquisition financing for four gas distribution networks.

Kevin has over twenty years’ experience of advising sponsors, authorities, guarantors and lenders. Prior to joining Deloitte, Kevin worked in Schroders’ energy and project finance department for seven years on power and chemicals projects in Asia and the UK.
