Partner – Private Sector
Howard leads the Private Sector team in the practice. During his twelve years in consulting, Howard has undertaken a wide range of assignments, in the UK, Europe, Middle East and US, specialising in corporate and business unit strategy development, business planning and M&A support. The majority of his work is mainly for clients in the TMT sector, with publishing and broadcast media being areas of strength.
He is one of the key architects behind the Digital Index, Deloitte’s quarterly assessment of the state of Digital Britain, co-authors Deloitte’s annual Edinburgh TV festival report and leads our relationship with a number of industry bodies. He is the lead strategy partner on a wide range of UK media clients including leading names in press and online publishing, television and internet services.
Over the last five years he has particularly focussed on the challenges and opportunities resulting from the increased digitisation of content and distribution.
Howard has a Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering from Warwick University. He is also a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
