Our survey "Aligned at the top" highlighted key opportunities for HR to demonstrate its strategic ability and counter those that question the value of HR in contributing to the bottom line. "Maximising the return on investment in people", "delivering cost effective value added HR services" and "the application and use of HR technology" are just some of the areas where our expertise is called in to play.
Our survey suggests CEOs and their HR Directors are not wholly in agreement on a number of issues – in comparing their views, CEOs generally underrate the effectiveness of HR delivery, and appear to consider that there is a greater shortage of strategically able HR managers.

We recognise in the current economic climate there is a high demand for cost deflation and this presents a real opportunity for HR to demonstrate its ability to make a genuine impact on business performance.
