Finding a new location

Signposts

Are you planning a new project and thinking about where to locate it? Have you outgrown your existing premises and wondering whether to expand or move? Do you have problems at an existing location (e.g. operating costs, recruitment and retention logistics etc.) and want to move to a better location?

Our Regional Development Services team helps clients to identify the optimum location option for their project.

The site selection services we offer include:

  • Defining the key project drivers – What are those factors that will be crucial to the success of the project.  This may include: people, skill requirements, logistics, infrastructure, quality of life, one-off and operating costs, funding sources, grant availability etc.
  • Stay or go analysis.  Deciding whether the existing location can still provide value or if there are compelling reasons (financial and non-financial) to pursue an additional location.
  • Defining a suitable search area.  The search area can be set globally, nationally or regionally, depending on the parameters that are relevant to you.
  • Evaluation and ranking of location options. Utilising detailed research and evaluation to identify the best fit against pre-determined criteria.
  • Location due diligence – on the ground location verification of infrastructure, competition, skills, costs etc.
