Effective and timely identification and management of risks can be critical to the success of a project. It may be that you need an independent opinion on the management and delivery of a project, don’t have the specialist resources to effectively review the projects on your audit plan or would like assurance that your project is on track to deliver the expected business benefits.
We have a track record of reviewing complex business critical programmes and projects and whilst we cannot guarantee the success of a project, we have significant experience of successfully identifying risks and issues prior to critical decision points allowing them to be addressed before the project progresses.
- Work with your Internal Audit function to report to the Audit Committee. We provide the specialist expertise and resource flexibility so that the review timings are not dictated by resource limitations but instead by the major risks faced by programmes and projects during their lifecycle.
- Work collaboratively with your Internal Audit function to design a programme assurance methodology and then train your department to apply it effectively.
- Work within a project as an independent internal assurance function to provide advice and guidance to the project management team and to report on a regular basis to the Programme Director.
- Work directly for the Board or act on behalf of a project sponsor to seek assurance that the project is in control and well managed.
Our Project Risk team combines extensive project management experience with a strong background in risk and controls assurance. Using our proprietary risk based methodology, reviews are focused on the areas of greatest risk and aligned to the programme or project lifecycle.
