Financial Stewards must focus on delivering effective compliance and control mechanisms to preserve organisational assets and minimise risk. The Finance Steward focuses on assessment and mitigation of risk and compliance against applicable regulatory or legal requirements, while running effective financial and reporting mechanisms.
To achieve this, the Finance Steward must develop effective information and data quality controls, enforce regulatory requirements across domestic and global operations and deliver a stringent governance framework that takes into account an increasingly complex business environment. Stewards are adept at delivering effective compliance, accounting and reporting, are knowledgeable in operational and fraud risks and adopt efficient control frameworks.
