The Eurozone Crisis
The recession and the global financial crisis have put government finances under huge pressure across the world. In the eurozone, concerns about the sustainability of public finances have prompted speculation that one or more countries might eventually leave the single currency. The complex and difficult nature of the issues have made it hard for policy makers to find a decisive solution to the crisis. In the absence of such a solution uncertainty about the future of the euro is likely to persist.
