Our Climate Change and Carbon Management team is focused on providing an integrated approach to solving the business challenges presented by the low carbon economy.

Our work includes the detailed analysis of carbon footprints and development of reduction strategies for both business operations (scope 1 & 2 emissions) and embodied carbon (scope 3 emissions). We can carry out full lifecycle carbon analysis and are accredited to deliver a number of low carbon labels and certification schemes including Carbon Trust, CEMARS and Planet Positive.

Climate Risk & Adaption Planning
Our climate is already changing; both in the UK and globally. Rising temperatures, changing rainfall patterns, sea level rises and increases in extreme weather events will impact on all sectors, directly or indirectly, with some sectors such as property, food production and water-intensive industries likely to be hit hardest. Our climate risk and adaptation team will help you understand these risks and develop an adaptation strategy to help protect your medium and long term business success.
Carbon Strategy
We have developed an approach to evaluate, analyse and present a strategy for carbon management flexible to wherever you are on the journey, and whatever your goals.
Carbon Accounting, Assurance & CRC Compliance
The Climate Change Act, the CRC Energy Efficiency Scheme and stakeholder demands for more transparency over environmental impacts have brought the need to measure and manage energy consumption into sharp relief for many organisations. We can assist your organisation with embracing this change, dealing with the challenges around collection of data, and reporting clear, understandable and robust carbon information, as well as developing an ongoing management strategy, including scenario planning.
Carbon Footprinting & Reduction Services
We offer full carbon footprinting services covering the Greenhouse Gas Protocol and ISO 14064. We have in-depth knowledge of Scope 1, 2 and 3 carbon emissions reporting, and will work with you to establish efficient reporting methods and reductions strategies.
Carbon Labelling & Certification
For some organisations achieving some form of certification can be an important part of their carbon strategy. We are qualified to provide a number of services including: CEMARS, which is a CRC-approved early action certification; Planet Positive accreditation for business and products; and the Carbon Trust product label.
Carbon Trust Services
We are one of the few consultancies accredited to deliver Carbon Trust-sponsored consulting work, covering the Carbon Management scheme, Strategic Design Advice for construction projects, strategic corporate consulting, and the Carbon Trust Footprint Label for products.
Carbon Markets & Offsets
We provide strategic advice to help organisations understand how they might achieve carbon neutrality through the purchase of carbon offsets. We have a detailed understanding of the voluntary carbon markets; as well as a detailed understanding of the EU Emissions Trading System obligations for specific industries, including airlines.
