Deloitte is one of the few consultancies accredited to deliver Carbon Trust sponsored consulting work, covering the Carbon Management scheme, Strategic Design Advice for construction projects, strategic corporate consulting, and the Carbon Trust Footprint Label for products.
As we are accredited to undertake Carbon Management and Carbon Management Energy Efficiency (CMEE Cluster) work for the Carbon Trust, we often carry out strategic carbon management work for a range of clients that qualify for Carbon Trust funding. Typically, these projects are focused on large organisations with high energy spend (>£1m), and follow an established five-step change management based process. This establishes a long-term implementation plan to realise and sustain both carbon and financial savings.
We have been accredited by the Carbon Trust to undertake Low Carbon Buildings Strategic Design Advice (LCBSDA) work on their behalf. This means we can deliver consulting work throughout the life cycle of a building, which may qualify for funding from the Carbon Trust.
These projects typically target carbon savings in new build and refurbishment projects (gross floor area > 10,000m2); they can be single or multi-site, public or private projects, and are pre-RIBA Design Stage A for maximum benefit.
PAS 2050 is an important methodology for the best-practice carbon foot-printing of products. Our product Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) team provides product carbon foot-printing using approaches consistent with ISO 14044, as well as the reporting necessary to prepare products for Carbon Labels under PAS 2050, such as the Carbon Trust Footprint Label.
