Meet the team

Guy Battle


  

Guy Battle, Partner
Guy is an environmental engineer and sustainability consultant. He founded dcarbon8 Ltd in 2006, a specialist carbon management and sustainable business consultancy, and in 2007 he was the inspiration behind Planet Positive a new global standard for carbon measurement and management.

In March 2010 dcarbon8 was acquired by Deloitte and Guy is now a partner responsible for carbon and sustainability within the practice. Previously, Guy was one of the founding partners of consulting engineers Battle McCarthy (1993), an engineering and landscape consultancy specialising in the design and delivery of sustainable solutions for the built environment.

Guy is recognised as a thought leader within his field and during his career has worked on a number of highly innovative building designs and consultancy projects including building work with Foster and Partners, Will Alsop, Sir Richard Rogers, SOM, KPF and Perkins & Will. Projects include The Freedom Tower, New York; developing the carbon management plan for Masdar - Zero Carbon City; Abu Dhabi International Airport; Endesa Headquarters, Madrid; and building carbon management services for Marks and Spencer, Sainsbury’s and British Land.

     
Andrew Kaye


  

Andrew Kaye, Partner
Andrew has been at the forefront of the development of new financing techniques in the low carbon and renewable space including energy efficiency, energy to waste, wind, biomass, solar and carbon capture and storage (CCS). Over the last couple of years he has advised central and local government extensively on green policy development and implementation including financing products for the Green Investment Bank, funding for offshore wind manufacturing capacity, a financing aggregator for Green Deal measures, Renewable Heat Incentive, EU ETS trading platform and an ECO brokerage model. In addition he has reviewed numerous requests for funding on behalf London Waste & Recycling Board.

He has  over 20 years project and corporate finance experience of energy and infrastructure transactions including: most recently structuring and arranging of finance for the €600m East West Interconnector,  Ayrshire Power’s CCS submission to NER300, Barking Power, Kondapalli in India, Salalah Power in Oman, Kingsnorth Power, and.  Between 1997 and 1998, he was seconded to The Energy Group, (prior to TXU acquisition) with responsibility for Group Financial Planning.

     
Caroline McGill


  

Caroline McGill, Director
Caroline is a qualified accountant with 10 years’ experience designing innovative investment structures (both debt and equity) in the energy and property sectors.  Caroline also has extensive experience of working with government on key energy and sustainability policies and brings that experience of to bear on advisory assignments.

Recent advisory roles have included financial advice in relation to Carbon Capture and Storage, the EU Emissions Trading Scheme, the Renewable Heat Incentive, the Green Deal and the Energy Company Obligation.  Caroline was previously seconded to the Green Investment Bank team within the Dept for Business, Innovation & Skills.

   
Charles Gooderham   

Charles Gooderham, Director
Charles is an environment, health and safety specialist with over 18 years’ experience. Ten of these have been within the professional services environment delivering environmental assurance and advisory in M&A, internal and financial audit, risk management and policy development.

Charles has worked across sectors including waste, energy, infrastructure, utility, business services, central government and manufacturing sectors. He previously worked in environmental consultancy having studied environmental engineering and geology.

   
Jon Lovell   

Jon Lovell, Director
Jon leads the Drivers Jonas Deloitte sustainability sector group and draws together expertise from across the business to integrate sustainable development into our property, development and built environment services. Jon advises a wide range of major investors, developers, occupiers and public sector clients, and is widely recognised as a leading player on the sustainability agenda within the property sector. He led Drivers Jonas LLP to the inaugural Estates Gazette Green Property Advisor of the Year Award in 2008 and was recently named the Insider Young Property Professional of the Year.

Prior to joining the Firm, he headed a sustainable development policy team in regional government, and previously established the environmental regeneration sector of a specialist environmental planning consultancy.

He is a member of the BPF Sustainability Committee and the Green Property Alliance, and sits on the influential Aldersgate Group, a coalition of businesses, environmental agencies and NGOs who believe that high environmental standards will be a major part of future economic growth and competitiveness.

   
Katherine Lampen    Katherine Lampen, Senior Manager
Katherine has over 10 years sustainability experience. She specialises in stakeholder engagement, reporting strategy and all aspects of sustainability assurance. She has experience of working with clients from a wide-range of industries but has a particular focus on the financial services and aerospace sectors. Katherine has extensive experience in working with companies globally to design and implement reporting strategies and assurance programs, she has worked in Asia, Central Europe, North and South America in this capacity.
   
Sarah Nolleth
   Sarah Nolleth, Senior Manager
Sarah leads our offerings in climate risk & adaptation services and sustainability strategy design and is also a trained carbon certifier. She has worked with a range of private and public sector clients many of whom demonstrate best practice in this area, with a focus on the energy, infrastructure and utilities sector. Sarah is a Chartered Accountant and also has an MSc in Environmental Technology from Imperial College London (Distinction).
   
Tony Siantonas   

Tony Siantonas, Senior Manager
Tony is an Environmental Scientist and sustainability consultant. His core skills include building and product Life Cycle Assessments (LCAs), supply chain carbon management and sustainability strategy. In his time he has project managed carbon impact assessments for multi-national companies, multi-billion dollar infrastructure masterplans and green buildings.

Tony has worked as Head Carbon Consultant with Masdar city (UAE) to develop a Masdar city carbon and lifecycle assessment strategy, measure the embodied impact of its design and construction, conduct Life Cycle Assessments on supplier products, and advised on the specification of sustainable materials. He has also worked on a number of innovative projects for Marks and Spencer, Lend Lease, Land Securities, British Land, Sainsbury's and Formica.

   
Kate Terriere    Kate Terriere, Senior Manager
Kate is a Senior Manager in the Sustainability team at Drivers Jonas Deloitte with over 10 years property and sustainability experience. Kate advises a range of clients on carbon management, estate strategy, and climate adaptation. She has a particular focus on property, looking at the link between business planning, estate planning, and sustainability, to help deliver best value for clients and maximise cost and carbon savings. Kate has significant experience advising a wide range of public sector clients including health, education, and local authorities.
