Managing Partner, Global Media & Entertainment Practice
Ed Shedd is the Partner who leads the global Media & Entertainment industry team at Deloitte and sits on Deloitte’s global Technology, Media and Telecoms (TMT) executive. Ed also leads the UK TMT industry team, as well as the UK TMT Consulting practice.
Ed specialises in the provision of strategic, operational and technology enabled solutions to many sectors of the digital internet & media industry, ranging from TV broadcasters, global entertainment companies, traditional book, newspaper and magazine publishers, sports businesses, through to digital businesses such as internet, interactive TV, gaming, social media and mobile content companies.
Ed is the Lead Client Service Partner for the BBC, and is the European Lead Consulting Partner for Sony, Activision Blizzard, News Corp and Facebook. He also works closely with the boards of the International Broadcasting Conference (IBC), and of the Royal Television Society. In addition to his extensive consulting experience, he has also had practical experience of the publishing market, working as the Sales and Marketing manager for an independent book publisher, Constable Publishers, and as an advertising sales executive for Centaur Publications. He is a founder member of the production company Monkey, producers of the Charlotte Church show and the Bafta award winning Made in Chelsea.
Ed joined Deloitte in 2002 having previously worked as a Partner with Andersen in their Business Consulting division. Ed previously worked at Braxton Associates, the strategy consulting arm of Deloitte
