Reflecting on the primary operational and financial challenges facing the executives running 200 of the UK's fastest growing small-medium sized technology companies, the reader may note the familiarity of the themes.

“Tooling up” is based on a survey of 200 executives from across the United Kingdom who applied to enter the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 programme in 2007. Between them, they represent companies which span the wide range of technology sub-sectors, but have one thing in common: a strong track record of growth and success.
