Few professional sports are as successful across both the men’s and women’s game as tennis. Regular combined events in some of the world’s most famous sporting arenas provide a unique package for spectators, sponsors and broadcasters.
Our dedicated sports industry team has advised a range of stakeholders in world tennis. Our understanding of the complex issues that a global, multi-stakeholder sport such as tennis faces, coupled with our knowledge of and lessons from other sports, have enabled us to identify and assist with a number of improvements in both operational and financial performance in the sport.
In the UK, our governance work with the LTA helped the national governing body comply with best practice guidelines set by UK Sport, whilst our facilities investment tax planning for the All England Lawn Tennis Club helped generate tax savings in respect of the development of facilities at Wimbledon.
At a worldwide level, our consultations with stakeholders, tournament financial analysis and calendar restructuring work with the ATP has helped the world governing body of men’s tennis drive through several changes to the competition format for the men’s professional tour.
Our tennis clients include:
ATP Tournament Financial Review, LTA modernisation and structural review and All England Lawn Tennis & Croquet Club - Wimbledon Redevelopment, The Long Term Plan
"I thought (as did the Board) that the study was absolutely perfect. I always knew you guys were going to deliver but its very reassuring that quality, rigour and thoroughness came with a great result. "
