Cricket is a leading global sport and the game’s finances have been transformed over recent years and continue to evolve. The commercial development provides challenges and opportunities for the game’s stakeholders, both at a national level and globally.
Our range of services to cricket’s stakeholders include business planning, modernisation of governance structures, improving revenue generation, market analysis, and advice on regulatory matters.
We have strong links into professional cricket, built over a number of years. For example, Deloitte are current auditors to the ECB. In terms of business advice, we have completed a number of major projects in the sport, including a full root and branch business review of a leading first class county, which led to significant profitability increases for this Test match venue.
Other projects for first class counties have included a stadium redevelopment specification study, a business plan review for another ground redevelopment, as well as a governance and committee structure review. We also worked with the ECB regarding the future strategy for the allocation of Test Matches.
As well as our cricket expertise, our considerable experience in other professional sports brings additional insight and experience to deliver solutions to our cricket clients.
