Employer solutions
The Global Employer Services (GES) Group is one of the largest of its kind in the UK and specialises in developing solutions to the employment taxes challenges faced by clients. This includes developing bespoke tax efficient compensation packages and advising on compliance obligations faced by employers.
The GES sports team have advised leading premiership football teams, county cricket teams and the UK governing bodies of the major global spectator sports. Specific areas of expertise include:
- Advising on the implementation of image rights contracts;
- The income tax and NIC implications of agents' fees;
- Tax efficient player remuneration;
- Structuring of testimonials;
- Managing employer compliance reviews;
- Negotiating with HMRC on behalf of clients.
HMRC are continuing to undertake coordinated reviews on a number of these areas, and this is an area that is currently attracting a lot of attention in the press.
