Media rights |
Over the past decade sport’s media revenues have grown at a remarkable rate, fuelled by fan interest, emergent new technology and the deregulation of broadcast markets. Sports rights holders have continued to evolve the dis-aggregation and packaging of rights for sale, as well as the mechanisms by which rights values are distributed to participants.
We have a wealth of experience of delivering projects in respect of sports media rights, for instance in respect of competition enquiries, financial and commercial due diligence, valuations, and strategic and advisory assignments. Aspects covered include:
- mechanisms used by sports rights holders to sell rights to broadcasters;
- definition and packaging of sports rights;
- values generated and longer term trends in values; and
- distribution mechanisms, for values to be allocated to competition participants.
