Senior Consultant, Sports Business Group
Mark is a Senior Consultant within the Sports Business Group with over ten years experience in sports consulting.
Mark is lead consultant on the work the Sports Business Group does with sports and leisure venues, and has advised over 30 individual venues over the last five years across a whole spectrum of areas, from feasibility studies and business plan development through to strategic and operational reviews. The emphasis of much of Mark’s work in venues is ensuring venue projects are viable and maximise their impact for owners, operators and the wider community.
Outside the UK, Mark has worked on sports venue assignments with clubs, operating companies, governing bodies and funders in France, Greece, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Qatar, Singapore, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United Arab Emirates.
Mark has spoken widely on the subject of venue development at conferences around Europe with particular emphasis on revenue generation and the development of cost effective and functional venues. He is also a media spokesperson for the Group on sports business matters.
Prior to joining the Sports Business Group, Mark was a member of the Hospitality and Leisure Consulting division of Deloitte, where he worked on a variety of assignments in the hotel, visitor attraction, commercial foodservice and tourism sectors.
