Chris qualified as a Chartered Tax Advisor with Deloitte before transferring to the Sports Business Group in 2011. He has experience on a range of advisory projects, working with international and national governing bodies, clubs and other sporting organisations. Chris is an author of the Deloitte Football Money League and Annual Review of Football Finance.
Chris’s recent work includes assisting the International Cycling Union in a wide-ranging stakeholder consultation programme, entitled ‘A Bright Future for Cycling’, as well as a detailed feasibility study focusing on the privatisation of sports clubs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, together with the development of a Blueprint for the future operation and structure of professional football in the country.
His other work includes an advisory project for FIBA, assessing the potential sporting and financial impact arising from changes to the qualification structure for international tournaments, a strategic and financial planning review for a Premiership Rugby club and an economic impact study for the FEI. He has also worked on a number of commercial due diligence projects.
Chris is a keen road cyclist, and completed the 2011 Deloitte Ride Across Britain, covering over 960 miles in 9 days in support of Myeloma UK and Paralympics GB.
