Consultant, Sports Business Group
James joined the Sports Business Group as a Consultant in November 2012. Since joining the Group, James has assisted with the 2013 Economic Impact of British Racing report, prepared in conjunction with the British Horseracing Authority, as well as working on feasibility study for the hosting of a major event. He has also assisted with the production of the Deloitte Football Money League and the Annual Review of Football Finance.
Prior to joining Deloitte, James gained a professional qualification in tax before moving to the British Horseracing Authority, where his work included conducting statistical and financial analyses of British horseracing. In 2009, James took up a position at London 2012, with responsibility for managing a number of sport specific projects, most notably the compilation of the Competition Schedule for events across all 26 Olympic and 20 Paralympic sports.
In addition to being a keen follower of football, cricket and horseracing, James competes in athletics to a national level and finished in the top 40 of the 2011 London Marathon.
