International Rugby Board
In 2004 we were engaged by the International Rugby Board (IRB) - Rugby Union’s international governing body - to identify whether a ‘Global Season’ for the professional participants in rugby union is feasible or desirable and to identify the potential options for such a season structure.
Such principles, together with an outline ‘windows-based’ season structure, provided the framework for the IRB to constructively tackle the issue, and they are now working with the global rugby unions towards an agreed solution.

A European League
A European league was considering the possibility of inviting additional clubs from the country’s second tier competition to join their league.
We were engaged to identify potential commercial implications of the proposed re-structuring.
The results of our study have provided the league with some strong data to assist them in taking informed decisions on whether the new league format would be a commercially viable option.
