Senior Consultant, Sports Business Group
Adam qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Deloitte in Reading before joining the Sports Business Group. He has undertaken various assignments working with governing bodies, clubs, local authorities and other sports business organisations in the UK and internationally.
His recent work includes advising an investor on the acquisition of a Premier League football club, assisting Betfred with the acquisition of the Tote, the acquisition of a sports exhibition company and the development of Information Memoranda for English football clubs looking for investment. He has also worked extensively with county cricket clubs assessing business plans and providing advice to Test Match venues on the profitability of international matches.
His other work includes assisting UEFA with the development of their Club Licensing and Financial Fair Play regulations for clubs across Europe, a strategic review of sport and health strategy for a major public sector body, an assessment of the impact of Listed Events legislation for an International rugby union, strategic reviews for two international venues and benchmarking analysis for various football clubs across Europe. He has also advised several start-up technology companies looking to target the sports industry.
He is an author of the Deloitte Football Money League and the Deloitte Annual Review of Football Finance, with a detailed focus on club financing and the revenues and profitability of English clubs.
Adam is a keen cricketer and footballer.
