Mark Beddy is a senior partner in our Real Estate Group with wide experience in the real estate and construction sector.
Mark has significant real estate experience built up over many years in the sector, both as a company director and in Deloitte. Mark is the lead partner on SEGRO (formerly Slough Estates) and Canary Wharf Group and was previously the lead partner on British Land. Mark leads the European audit teams for funds managed by Rockspring and acts for real estate funds managed by Internos, CBRE Investors and Rockspring. Private real estate clients include Libra/NHP, Dorrington and Martin Grant Homes. Mark acts as advisory partner to a number of real estate companies and funds, including Hansteen, Orion, Big Yellow and Invesco.
Mark has extensive experience of due diligence and transaction support on acquisitions, disposals, rights issues, refinancings and securitisations, working with a range of clients in the real estate and constructions sectors. Mark is a recognised expert in the sector and is the co-author of the Deloitte/CCH publication 'Real Estate – An Industry Accounting Guide' which provides detailed guidance on real estate accounting issues under IFRS. Mark worked with several listed companies on their transition to IFRS and presents regularly on IFRS impacts on the real estate sector.
