New series of research surveys aimed at obtaining a ‘real’ outlook on the sector issues

UK manufacturing has recently had to confront and defy the most turbulent of times, facing complex and demanding decisions to continue to play its part in the global marketplace.

To gather a real perspective on the current concerns affecting UK manufacturers, Deloitte Manufacturing Group has embarked on a series of surveys to examine these issues - Point of view.

Initially, we are examining the challenges facing UK manufacturing in relation to exports, an aspect that UK Government and top economists feel the sector should be pursuing with fervour.

The survey is now closed and its findings will be released in December 2009.
