Leading both the UK and Switzerland manufacturing industry groups, David is based at Deloitte Leeds office, and joined the firm in 2002. David joined the profession in 1990, and has been a Partner for nearly a decade.
One of David’s specialist sector areas is the automotive sector (manufacturing, retail and automotive finance ) where he leads Deloitte’s Indirect Tax practice across both the UK and Europe. David also acts as a central liaison point with HMRC on automotive matters, and is routinely involved on issues affecting the entire industry. He has a large span of clients across the automotive arena, which comprises the key players in the industry.
David also has lead relationship and advisory roles with a number of key clients from other industry sectors, including a number of global shipping and distribution businesses, and several major airlines.
On a day-to-day basis, David manages the firms VAT practice in Northern England. He also sits on the Global Leadership team for Indirect Tax, where he represents the UK VAT practice.
