Deloitte comments on HS2 report |
Responding to today’s report from the House of Commons Transport Select Committee on the economic case for high speed rail, Ian Simpson, partner and head of transport at Deloitte, the business services firm, says:
"While today's report from the Transport Select Committee is broadly positive, there is more that can be done to build on the already strong case for high speed rail.
“Taking this forward requires more detailed consideration of the economic benefits to the regions and an analysis of how to make the most of the opportunities that constructing and operating HS2 could create.”
