Background

All NHS bodies need to remain focussed on improving the quality of patient care. To underline the importance of the quality agenda, Monitor has recently introduced, and updated, a new element to their Foundation Trust assessment and compliance process. This includes a requirement for Foundation Trusts to report on the effectiveness of their Quality Governance arrangements.
