Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has appointed Neil Cornelius as a director in its economic consulting practice, focusing on the energy sector.
Neil was previously at ICF International where he led the European energy and carbon market analysis practice. Neil has more than 20 years experience in the power sector, including leading the market analysis team for BP Alternative Energy and working for more than nine years at National Power Plc in a variety of UK and international roles.

This is a fascinating time for the UK and global energy industry as it is changed by carbon legislation, penetration of renewable technologies and smartgrid capabilities. I look forward to working with Deloitte’s clients to help them address these challenges.”
Carl Hughes, head of Deloitte’s UK energy practice said: “Neil brings deep knowledge of the economics of European energy and power markets, in particular the interaction of the power sector with fuel markets and carbon legislation and the commercial challenges for renewable options.
