Background
TfL needed to extend and improve the legacy system for Oyster's online and telephone channels. This was to support the release of Barclaycard's OnePulse Card (a combined Visa, contactless cash Oyster card), meet stringent new security standards (specifically the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards or PCI DSS) and handle increased customer volumes. All in 20 weeks with an immovable deadline.
