Deloitte Analytics announces new global public sector leader |

Deloitte, the business advisory firm, has named UK consulting partner, Costi Perricos, as its new global public sector analytics leader.
London-based Perricos takes on the position in addition to leading the UK firm’s public sector technology practice, and the public sector analytics team.
Perricos has more than 20 years’ experience, including 14 years with Deloitte and Arthur Andersen. He has expertise in information management, software development, IT transformation, as well as the delivery of large and complex technology programmes.
Perricos’ experience spans both the private and public sectors, but he has focused on the public sector for the last nine years. Within the public sector he has worked in both central and local government, helping organisations to deliver IT enabled transformation programmes, and procure large and complex technology solutions.
Perricos said: “The public sector, both in the UK and more widely, is experiencing widespread change as a result of significant fiscal challenges and renewed economic uncertainty. Faced with these constraints, many public bodies are looking to rapidly reduce costs, offload assets and reduce services. Therefore, there is a real risk that public bodies could take the wrong approach when considering which skills, assets or services should be cut or commissioned. However, analytics can help to aid fact-based decision making, and ensure that organisations are making the right choices when it comes to their workforce, investments and services.”
