Software Solutions for General Insurance

Our dedicated in-house software team designs, builds and maintains a number of general insurance software packages. Our consultants make extensive use of this software when working on engagements and we also license it to our clients so they can also benefit from it.

Our General Insurance software offering

  • CROS is our claims reserving software, which has been developed to support all reserving-based work undertaken by our consulting practice. It is an integrated package offering the following key features:
    • Quality-assured implementations of commonly-used reserving methods.
    • Leading edge automation capabilities, which mean that common tasks can be fully automated and bespoke methods may be built in-house and integrated with CROS.
    • Audit functionality, helping to quantify the impact of judgements made during the modelling process.
    • Extensive and easy-to-use links with Microsoft Office packages such as Excel and Access.

  • Our Revenue Planning Engine (RPE) projects financial forecasts and is designed specifically for non-life insurance companies. The software enables managers to prepare flexible and robust budgets and business plans by projecting the financial statements and key performance indicators for their business, based on underwriting, actuarial and financial assumptions. It can be implemented as a desktop application or an integrated solution alongside most leading enterprise software. The software provides the following key features:
    • Holistic and dynamic approach to planning which allows senior executive time to be spent on strategic issues
    • Insurance and reinsurance specific features are programmed into the calculation engine
    • Ability to aggregate data according to legal entity, business unit, product line etc. The RPE produces granular and consolidated financial statements for even the most complicated entity.
    • Extensive and easy-to-use links with Microsoft Office packages such as Excel and Access.
