Background

Whilst the final Retail Distribution Review (RDR) rules on Professionalism (raising the professional standards of advisers) have been available since early 2011, many firms still remain focused on a ‘compliance only’ solution, at the expense of embracing an enhanced solution to embed behavioural change throughout their organisation.

Key findings

This paper reviews the potentially significant ‘people’ implications on businesses, including talent (recruitment, retention and performance management) and reward strategies, as well as the operational model and compliance framework (training and competence, FSA reporting, and compliance monitoring).
