Background
In June 2012 HM Treasury published a White Paper (consultation) on its plans to take forward the Independent Commission on Banking (ICB) recommendations on structural and other reforms to the banking sector.
As well as providing some overarching comments on the White Paper proposals in Section 1 of our submission, Deloitte, led by the EMEA Centre for Regulatory Strategy, also commented on a subset of the questions in the White Paper, where we felt our knowledge and expertise would be of most value.
