Background
Solvency II milestones are fast approaching, and the need to accelerate the implementation of IT programme design is imperative to meeting compliance with the Directive and seizing the business benefits of a well designed cross-functional technology platform.
Key findings
This paper considers the key milestones and activities to be undertaken in order to ensure firms’ IT capabilities are ready for the 1 January 2013 deadline, and identifies the opportunities which firms can realise during the Directive’s design and implementation stages.
