Background

The CRC is a scheme designed to encourage organisations to reduce energy. It presents UK organisations with an opportunity to save money and enhance their reputation. It may also create challenges around cash flow, data management and governance.

The CRC started on 1 April 2010 and impacts more than 5,000 large non-energy intensive business and public sector organisations in the UK.
