Nick leads the international Travel, Hospitality and Leisure (THL) advisory practice. Recognised as a leader in its field, the team is part of Deloitte’s global THL industry group, which provides corporate finance, consulting, tax and assurance services to the international hospitality industry.
Prior to assuming this role, Nick was responsible for real estate and hospitality consulting services in EMEIA, based in London and the Gulf. This followed 8 years spent with PKF in London and Hong Kong. His experience in industry includes periods with Holiday Inn and Sun International in Southern Africa, and Gleneagles and Meridien in Europe.
Nick acts for owners, investors, lenders and operators. In a 30-year career, he has advised on M&A, strategic planning, development, operational and performance issues. He has led teams on flotations, P2P’s, S&LB’s and work-out's.
His areas of specialisation include:
- mergers and acquisition support;
- valuation;
- strategic planning;
- operational/performance improvement reviews;
- restructuring;
- debt/equity raising;
- development feasibility;
- masterplanning/mixed-use resort development.
Extensively travelled, Nick has worked in over 60 countries. He is a familiar figure at major industry events and regularly quoted in the financial and trade press.
