Food and Beverage 2012 industry overview

The end of cheap food - What it means for the industry

Food and Beverage 2012 industry overview

As part of our Food and Beverage 2012 programme, Lawrence Hutter, Global Managing partner for Consumer Business, provides an executive level overview of the current challenges and opportunities facing Food and Beverage businesses in the industry today.

On the demand side he examines the impact of rising food prices and other economic pressures on consumers and looks at how businesses can best inform and influence shopper choice.  On the supply side he examines the issues created by higher and more volatile input costs and the need to balance price and security of supply.

He then summarises the demand and supply side issues in four key questions that Food & Beverage businesses need to answer as a platform for future success.  We will address these four questions in depth in the next round of our 2012 research programme.
