Over the past 12 months Deloitte and GS1, a leading global organisation dedicated to the design and implementation of supply chain standards and solutions, have carried out two linked surveys that provide an understanding of how attitudes of businesses towards sustainability have changed over time, framed against the background of the recent global economic downturn.

Key findings

In this report we take a look at the general attitudes toward sustainability, while also considering the four key areas of focus for companies to achieve sustainability. These four areas identified in the study are; product and process innovation, informing and engaging with the consumer, organisation and accountability and external collaboration.
