What our clients say about us
At Deloitte we care about what our clients think and say about us. In a bid to further improve the work we do; following each engagement, we seek to capture significant post-assignment feedback from our clients. Our innovative feedback programme is always based on face-to-face interviews with clients. Rather than having a questionnaire or template for the interviews, they consist of conversations based on several key topics and are entirely tailored to the particular client's expectations and the extent of their relationship with Deloitte. Recent work performed in this sector by Deloitte has garnered considerable positive comments from our clients. Some examples are below:
"Deloitte provided Marie Curie Cancer Care with an exceptionally useful report in a very short space of time. They helped us to scope many aspects of our proposed contact centre and to identify a number of risks and challenges. We were delighted by the quality of their work...” - Marie Curie Cancer Care
‘the exercise has been genuinely valuable [it] has been a good kick start for our next phase of work to improve internal services...’‘The team were professional and approachable and this teased a lot of issues out of some staff that might otherwise have been resistant.‘ - Action on Hearing Loss
“The project was pivotal for WVUKs next 3 years. Having developed a five year strategy, it was critical to ground this by developing an implementable 3 year business plan.
In a nutshell, you understood our needs, were responsive to them, and therefore gave us huge value. - World Vision UK
The Consulting support provided by the Deloitte team was highly commended by Harpal Kumar (CRUK CEO), who, along with NESTA and GSK unanimously praised the hard work and quality of input provided to each of the ventures. Deloitte’s contribution to the projects also received a prominent mention at The Guardian Activate Summit, a global internet and digital strategy conference.
“At CRUK we take innovation very seriously and are always focused on finding different ways to engage our supporters, both new and existing, effectively in funding our life-saving research. We are delighted by the results that this Challenge has yielded and have no doubt that the winning ideas will help raise vital funds for our work to beat cancer.” - CRUK
“The involvement of Deloitte teams in the OVC in aid of CRUK was a huge asset. In each case they not only helped build a clear and attractive business model but they really inspired confidence in the Venture teams.” - CRUK
"The time, energy and knowledge the Deloitte team put into the Open Ventures Challenge really made a difference. They turned many interesting ideas and concepts into investable business propositions and I know the teams involved were immensely grateful. Personally I don't think the OVC would be the success it is without the involvement of the Deloitte team members and advisors." - mo.jo
“Thanks again for all of your support. It made the difference between some great submissions and some outstanding ones.” - CRUK
“It is real pleasure to be able to feed back to you the results of our Home from Hospital pilot which was launched on time on first of April 2009. We benefitted very much from the advice we had from Deloitte. Deloitte opened our eyes to the need to question right from the start the initial premise of the project and in this case by re- examining aims and objectives of the project we hit upon a much improved outcome. We then learned a variety of approaches to collecting and recording the requirements of an operational database and how to make the whole experience effective and efficient and fun! Key to the lasting outcomes of the project was that we began to understand the culture changes necessary to effectively implement the new data capture system.
The British Red Cross, for a very long time ran as self governing regions, it is only relatively recently (within the last 10 years) we got used to working to a centralised UK Office structure and this project is the first to try to standardise the operational business processes. We now have four pilots up and running and other service lines involved in the requirements gathering process.” - British Red Cross
“I'd like to thank the team most warmly for the advice and support given to us during the review of my department. I greatly appreciated the insight, the rigour of analysis suggestions. They were immensely helpful.” - Community Channel & Media Trust Productions
"We were all impressed by their ability to quickly grasp the issues here at ActionAid and the interesting report produced. It is valuable to have their constructive suggestions to improve our processes. We will also be able to build on these foundations as we look to make longer term improvements." - ActionAid
“What the team have given to Changing Faces is frankly hard for me to put a value to because, quite simply, we have never (had) the remotest chance of commissioning such work! The 9.10.2008 meeting will however go down in the history of Changing Faces as the moment when the Trustees firmly agreed that:
- the charity should have an international presence and
- there is now a robust framework to help us decide what best to do.
Without the framework, we would not have an international presence. That is down to the team. Thank you all so much!” - Changing Faces
On Deloitte delivering a framework for the assessment and comparison of current and future spend, a review of structural options and recommendations to the Chief Executive
“Really useful, that’s really brightened up my day. I will definitely use it to drive discussion with my senior team going forward.” - Paralympics GB
“The work undertaken to review our xl Programme enables us to think more strategically about how we might develop this Programme. It provides a thoughtful external voice to inform our decisions, and is now heading up the Trustees’ agenda for their annual review meeting with our President.” - Princes Trust
On Deloitte jointly writing a report which outlined three ways in which the Government could meet the 2010 target and which require no extra Government spending.
“I am immensely proud of this document. I think it is the single most intellectually impressive and economically rigorous report produced by Barnardo’s – or indeed any children’s charity – in the time I have been CEO here. It represents a new kind of political pragmatism and a grown up attitude to the thorny problems faced by Ministers and civil servants. I have privately been congratulated by at least one Secretary of State on this report and I am convinced that it has and will provide a constructive contribution to the internal Government debate on spending decisions for 2008’s Pre-Budget Report. We could not have achieved this without Deloitte’s support and I am very grateful to Julie and her colleagues for their expertise and enthusiasm.” - Barnado’s
On Deloitte engaged to help identify achievable and sustainable cost savings opportunities as part of the Efficiency Programme and establish a method for prioritisation and an execution strategy to realise the benefits.
“It has been an extremely valuable exercise and you have helped us immensely. I think we have strong foundations in place thanks to the work you have helped us with. I've really enjoyed working with everyone!” - Shelter
“The support delivered to Tomorrow’s People as part of this project will have been hugely valuable and is exactly the type of support that the Private Equity Foundation was created to facilitate. Consultancy of this calibre is unattainable for most charities but has already proved hugely valuable to the organisation and will help them make a lasting difference to thousands more lives.” - Private Equity Foundation
“The Flexible New Deal whilst being a potential opportunity for Tomorrow’s People, is also a huge challenge. We have appreciated and valued Deloitte's help in identifying the key issues and challenges. Without their intervention we would not be as clear as we are on what needs to be done and how we might go about it. The team were helpful and incisive. I doubt any other Third Sector organisation has gone about their strategic thinking on FND with such excellent input. Thank you.” - Tomorrow’s People
“X made a great difference to ARK India as he was someone I could trust them to put project planning structures in place and get the job done, this made a great difference to me as the time I had to spend on this programme dramatically reduced. X you've done a fantastic job, thanks very much!” - Future Leaders
“X diligently worked on the Project Plan and ensured that critical timelines and milestones were met. He was very hands-on in his approach in working with the team and brought his project management skills to the organisation. He also did an outstanding job on the Project Budget which required simplification and control He helped manage the organisation finances and put in place a finance policy that was finally approved by HQ, UK.” - Future Leaders
