Jane leads the Deloitte VAT Charity and Not-For-Profit Group Nationally. She also leads the Deloitte VAT Education Group in London and is a member of Deloitte’s UK Tax Executive. She joined Deloitte in 1991 and was made a partner in January 2002. She has over 20 years’ experience in VAT, having worked originally at HM Customs & Excise (1988-1991) and Price Waterhouse in Australia, helping to develop its Asia Pacific Incorporate Tax Practice.
Jane is the VAT Partner responsible for client services and delivery for several high profile clients across the public and not-for-profit sectors including the Design Museum, London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games, National Association of Citizens Advice Bureaux and the University of London. Jane has advised on VAT issues arising from partial exemption, restructuring, fund raising/financing, and site development and re-location. Her emphasis is on providing practical and pragmatic advice that maximises VAT savings whilst militating against exposures or penalties.
