Chris Davies is an Associate Partner specialising in strategic advice, building consultancy and project management for a wide range of clients including charities, community, educational, cultural, visitor attraction and national/ local government clients. In recent years, he has been responsible for and personally provided development and project management advice on more than £2bn of projects.
He has wide experience of programme management of property relocation and improvement programmes. He has set up and managed major Framework Commissions from the outset in the late 1980s of Government Departments and NDPBs engaging with the private sector.
Chris has provided “Project Sponsor” and “Client Advisor” roles to charities including secondment into the client organisation. He assists organisations in defining objectives, preparing business cases and securing funding. He also undertakes efficiency reviews of property owning organisations’ approach to construction procurement, maintenance and fitting out.
Chris was a founding Trustee of the Drivers Jonas Charitable Foundation.
Chris has sat on various RICS Technical Committees and has authored or contributed to a variety of Best Practice guides, including ones published by RICS; Dept. of Trade and Industry; Dept. of Environment, Transport and the Regions and Dept. of Culture, Heritage and Sport. He is a regular public speaker and contributor to journals and books.
Many of his projects have social, economic and environmental sustainability as key drivers and he was a member of the Learning and Skills Council’s Zero Carbon Working Group, seeking to meet the Minister’s objective of all English Colleges achieving zero carbon by 2016.
