Gaining public confidence (PDF)- Area: Charities and Not For Profit
Background
The economic and reporting landscape has not changed significantly since our last review of trustees' annual reports. Charities continue to face public spending cuts, competition for scarce donations and sponsorship, low returns on investments as well as an increasing pressure to deliver. A high quality annual report provides an invaluable opportunity for charities to demonstrate what they deliver and how. Moreover, they may gain public confidence, secure future donations and prove that their's are safe and capable hands.
