Deloitte is the Official Professional Services Provider to The London Organising Committee of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), including tax, human capital, management consulting, and financial support through secondments and advisory work. This gives Deloitte the position of Official Supporter.
There are a large number of Yorkshire based Deloitte people who have been and are currently actively involved in a variety of projects supporting the delivery of the London 2012 Games. This includes advisory work to LOCOG regarding the 2012 Games ticket application and allocation process, and project managing the delivery of temporary venues at Horse Guards Parade, The Mall, Hyde Park and Greenwich Park. These temporary venues are hosting events including beach volleyball, the marathon, Paralympic marathon, road cycling, triathlon and the modern pentathlon.
We have two Games Maker volunteers from the Leeds office who are lending their support to the athletes for the duration of the Games. We have had over 20 people ride the 900 miles of Deloitte Ride Across Britain, helping to raise £750,000 in two years. We have supported 35 locally based Talented Athlete Sponsorship Scheme (TASS) athletes in their quest to secure their place at the Paralympic Games.
We are proud to say we support London 2012 from the grass roots level of sport to some of the most complex business solutions helping LOCOG stage the Games in 2012.
