Employment Tax

We have an experienced national employment tax team, which is located in the region and has extensive experience of working with public sector clients across all sub-sectors. Our team has assisted clients in both employment cost-savings projects and employment tax compliance issues. The team has provided training to the health sector through the Healthcare Financial Management Association and has presented to the South Wales and North Wales payroll user groups for Local Regional Government. Most recently we have launched an initiative to assist the British University Finance Director Group in setting up regional payroll user groups throughout the UK.

Education - Drivers Jonas Deloitte has been active in the education sector for over 15 years and we have provided a range of building services from college property management to university building development. We have a wide range of clients including state and independent schools, sixth-form colleges, universities and other higher education establishments.

Indirect Taxes

We have a thriving Public Sector indirect taxes practice in Wales advising on indirect taxes, predominantly VAT and environmental taxes for all arms of government and public sector bodies.

Our team has specific expertise in advising central, local and regional government, the health sector, education institutions and social housing organisations. In each of these areas we work closely with our audit, consulting and corporate finance colleagues to deliver a range of services, largely focused on generating efficiencies and reducing costs. We also have many retained VAT advisory contracts with a wide range of public sector bodies and regularly work with other public sector clients to deliver cash refunds and other one-off savings. Our fees for our services can range from those that are fully contingent on savings (risk/ reward) to fixed fees, to daily or hourly rates.
