Ian is the Director who leads our public sector audit and advisory business in the South West and Wales. He has 15 years experience in public sector audit. He trained and obtained his CPFA qualification with the Audit Commission and spent 10 years working on public sector audits as part of District Audit. He then spent 5 years working for the PricewaterhouseCoopers public sector team before joining Deloitte in January 2009 to establish a public sector audit business for us in Wales.
Ian has led the external audits of a number of Local Authorities and Health Boards and is currently head of internal audit for a number of public sector bodies across Wales. He also has significant experience in the Education sector and currently leads the external and internal audits for both the FE and HE institutions.
Ian also advises public bodies on financial management, financial control and cost reduction.
