Employability skills
The Deloitte Employability Initiative is our flagship skills and education programme. Deloitte has invested £2m since 2001 on a programme that aims to develop the skills of young people so that they are qualified and work-ready. The learners that qualify attain a Level 2 BTEC WorkSkills qualification and combined with the business and personal skills acquired, they substantially enhance their employability.
The programme also provides a training programme for college staff , which trains individuals to become Deloitte Employability Trainers.
To date over 800 college teachers from over 125 FE Colleges have been trained and over 20,000 students have completed this highly successful programme.
The Deloitte Employability Initiative has entered an exciting new phase, as it is now delivered in collaboration with Pearson , the UK’s largest awarding body. This collaboration enables employability to be delivered to a wider audience, at different levels and to support specialist teacher training.
